Maloofs Agree to sell the Kings to the Sacramento Investment group

I hate the Kings, always have but i must say the work the city and Mayor put in to keep the Kings was amazing. The Maloofs were a joke as owners, could barely keep the team running and that was with going cheap on the roster and the coaching.

The new investors are going to be building a new Arena in downtown Sacramento, the current arena sits right next to I-5, a little bit south of the Airport.

With the new arena, the surrounding downtown area is going to get some new development which is part of a move to redevelop down town and bring more jobs to the area.

I didn't want the Kings to stay but the new Arena is going to be awesome and this town needs its only professional team. Hopefully sometime down the road, Seattle gets the Sonics back.

They seemed like good owners during the Webber run. Kings got screwed against the Lakers and then it seemed like the wheels fell off.

Yeah they took apart that team, got rid of Adleman and brought in cheap players and coaches. Unless im mistaken the Kings have one of the lowest total salaries in the NBA.
