Happy Independence Day!

Happy 237th birthday USA! Today I reflect on the pure genius of our founders who had the wisdom to build the most stable and most successful government the planet has ever known. They placed ownership of the government in the hands of all. They protected the RIGHTS of the minority from the will of the majority. They recognized the need for change and built flexibility into the framework. They brilliantly established a set of checks and balances to protect us all. We are all so fortunate that we had men like Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, Adams, Jay, Paine and so many others that had such amazing foresight, an incredible dedication to liberty and equality, a determined resolve to succeed at any price, and the sheer brilliance to build what we all enjoy today.

Let us all work to continue what they started.

Happy 4th of July, Boats! Had a great reunion luncheon with family members, now back in Jax, trying to cool down.  

Just got back to Jax last night. It was nice to see Virginia Beach again and visit some of my old haunts.
